Global Library of Scientific Images: Easy to Use, Submit, and Verify

Global Library of Scientific Images is a one-stop-shop for high-quality cardiology images. Our collection spans the normal and the abnormal and features both common problems and rare conditions. We aim to be the best source of educational images and videos for the science students and teachers of the world. Part of what makes us a valuable resource is our user-friendly collection. Whether you are a medical student, a practicing physician, or are otherwise interested in medical research, you can easily find verified images or contribute your own research.

Easy to Use

Our free medical images library website is designed for easy searches and prompt access to images. On the home page, under the search bar, you will find some of the most searched for categories of images, including:

  • CT
  • Cardiac catheterization
  • Coronary angiography
  • Coronary arteries
  • Echocardiogram
  • EKG
  • Hemodynamics
  • MRI

Clicking on any of these popular categories takes you to a page of potential results. Selecting any single item brings up its attribution, description, and any other relevant information. Once you have begun your search, it is also easy to filter your results with tags.

Registration with Global Library of Scientific Images allows you to download an unlimited amount of free, educational images. Registration is easy; it only takes a few minutes to complete the online registration form. Anyone age 16 or older can create a profile. After that, you will gain instant access to the full library of free medical photos and can begin downloading all your scientific images from the site.

If you cannot find what you are looking for, registered users can request an image from a specific contributor.

Easy to Submit

Our website also provides the opportunity for publication and contribution. Medical practitioners, residents, fellows, and others can submit their images or videos. By uploading their materials, the medical professionals have a venue to share their projects and potentially receive an academic or publication credit. Their submissions, in turn, help further develop our medical research community.

Once a user has created a free profile and has registered with the website, they can begin uploading their own projects.

Easy to Verify

With Global Library of Scientific Images, it has never been easier to find what you need and be confident that everything is appropriately vetted. When you download an image or a video from our library, you can trust that it is ready to be used in any project or presentation.

All of our contributed images are peer-reviewed by an editorial board composed of medical experts and leaders in their field. The images are not simply received and immediately posted. The editorial board reviews the materials for quality and accuracy. The board also verifies that all confidential patient information is removed. This process allows instructors and medical professionals to easily prepare visual aids without having to fact check every single image.

As the library continues to grow, and as medical professionals and students continue to submit images, additional reviewers will be added to the editorial board.

Free Medical Images

We hope you enjoy exploring our library and that you will consider sharing it with those interested in the medical field. Our images and videos are free for all educational purposes, and our site is designed to make searching, submitting, and vetting as easy as possible.
