Chest X-ray of a 75-year-old Male with Mixed Mitral Valvular Disease from Chronic Rheumatic Heart Disease

Description

CXR PA view showing; (1) Heart is enlarged in transverse diameter, (2) Straightening of the left border of the heart with fullness of the pulmonary conus, (3) Double shadow in the right border of the heart. The patient was suffering from mitral stenosis (MS) with mitral regurgitation (MR) resulting in biventricular heart failure. The diagnosis was Chronic Rheumatic Heart Disease (CRHD).
