Scimitar Syndrome

Description

32-year-old patient with a history of Scimitar Syndrome. Scimitar Syndrome, also known as congenital pulmonary venolobar syndrome, is a rare congenital cardiac defect involving anomalous venous drainage to the inferior vena cava (IVC). The red arrows in this image indicate an aberrant right lower lobe pulmonary vein to the IVC at the junction of the right atrium consistent with the patient's known partial anomalous pulmonary venous return.
