Non-sustained Atrial Tachycardia

Description

The underlying rhythm is normal sinus rhythm at a rate of 62/min. A 4-beat run of atrial tachycardia at a rate of 130/min is present (fourth through seventh complexes). Sinus rhythm then resumes. The short PR interval associated with the ectopic complexes is due to the close proximity of the atrial focus to the AV node and the similar appearance of all of the QRS complexes is due to normal AV nodal and ventricular conduction of both the sinus and ectopic complexes.
