Complete Heart Block and a Junctional Escape Rhythm in a Patient with Atrial Fibrillation after Treatment with a Beta Blocker

Description

A patient with bifascicular block was treated with a beta blocker for atrial fibrillation with a rapid ventricular response. This ECG was obtained the day after admission. The underlying atrial rhythm is likely atrial fibrillation. Complete heart block occurred following beta blocker administration and a junctional escape rhythm at a rate of 49/min is present.
