Enteric Contrast Stool Ball

Description

Large stool ball in rectal vault, approximately 7.7cm x 8.2cm. Patient had gastrograffin for evaluation of small bowel obstruction one week before an abdominal x-ray was obtained for evaluation of diarrhea. Other small balls of stool are seen in the ascending colon. Four days later developed constipation; again evaluated with abdominal X-Ray which re-demonstrated the stool ball.
